Before the event
Book your UK Social Dating event normally.
Meet people face-to-face first. There are no attendee profiles to browse before the event.
At the event
Attend, meet people and scan the private Event Match QR code at the venue if you choose.
The QR code is only for attendees and joins you to that evening’s private UKSD Event Match space on Telegram.
Add yourself
Upload only your first name and one clear current selfie.
Keep it simple. There are no dating profiles or questionnaires to fill out. Your phone-number visibility is controlled by your Telegram privacy settings.
After the event
Event Match remains available for 48 hours after the event.
Browse the people who attended and, if there is someone you would like to speak to again, send them a private Telegram message.
After 48 hours
That Event Match closes.
The event content is removed and attendees are removed from that event space. Every event starts fresh.
Why we built it this way
The technology comes after the introduction.
UK Social Dating is designed around real conversations rather than profiles and algorithms.
Event Match’s only job is to make it easier to reconnect with somebody you have already seen or spoken to in real life.
You decide who you contact. UKSD does not choose or calculate matches for you.
And you do not need to give out your telephone number simply because you met someone at an event.

Only attendees at the physical event receive access, via the private Event Match QR code at the venue. No live QR code or permanent Telegram event invite is published on this website.
Event Match asks only for your first name and one clear current selfie—not your surname, address, workplace or phone number.
When you join, other attendees can see your Telegram profile and anything you choose to post in the event group.
Your telephone-number visibility is controlled by your own Telegram privacy settings. We recommend checking these before attending:
Telegram → Settings → Privacy & Security → Phone Number
You choose what else, if anything, to post. Share only what you are comfortable with other attendees seeing. There is no obligation to reply to anyone who messages you.
Closing the event space does not delete private conversations you have started with other attendees.

- Upload one clear, current selfie and your first name.
- Do not screenshot, save or share another attendee’s photograph or information outside Event Match.
- You may privately message someone you would like to speak to again.
- You are under no obligation to reply to a message.
- One introductory message is enough. If someone does not reply, do not repeatedly contact them.
- If somebody says no or asks you to stop contacting them, stop.
- Report repeated or unwanted contact, or inappropriate behaviour, to the UK Social Dating host.
- Event Match closes 48 hours after the event.
Do I need Telegram?
You’ll need Telegram if you want to use Event Match.
Telegram is used because it allows attendees to communicate without having to publicly exchange telephone numbers.
Event Match is completely optional. You can still attend and enjoy UK Social Dating without joining Telegram or Event Match.

What is UKSD Event Match?+
Event Match is an optional private Telegram space for people attending a UK Social Dating event. It helps attendees identify and reconnect with somebody they met during the evening.
Can I see attendees before the event?+
No. UK Social Dating is built around meeting people face-to-face first. Only attendees receive access, by scanning the private Event Match QR code at the venue. No live QR code or permanent Telegram event invite is published on this website.
Do I have to join Event Match?+
No. It is completely optional. You can still attend and enjoy UK Social Dating without joining Telegram or Event Match.
Do I need to give people my phone number?+
No. You can communicate through Telegram first and decide later whether you want to exchange other contact details. Your phone-number visibility depends on your own Telegram privacy settings; check Settings → Privacy & Security → Phone Number before attending.
How long does Event Match last?+
Event Match remains available for 48 hours after the event, then closes. The event content is removed and attendees are removed from that space. Closing the event space does not delete private conversations you have started.
Does UK Social Dating choose my matches?+
No. UKSD does not automatically match attendees. You choose who you would like to contact after meeting people at the event.
What do I need to add to Event Match?+
Only your first name and one clear current selfie. Event Match does not ask you to post your surname, address, workplace, phone number or dating-profile answers. You choose what else, if anything, to share with other attendees.
Can somebody message me?+
Other Event Match participants may be able to send you a Telegram message. There is no obligation to reply. Repeated or unwanted contact should be reported to the UK Social Dating host.
What happens to my selfie?+
Your selfie is used within that event’s Event Match area to help other attendees identify you. The event content is removed when Event Match closes. Attendees must not screenshot, save or share another attendee’s photograph or information outside Event Match.
